Little

22-year-old Mallory Boykin is a graduate from the University of Southern Mississippi.   She works as a speech therapist and tutor for the Hattiesburg school district. Boykin works at Grace Christian public School. Boykin is from a small town in Alabama. She is also the only child in her family. Before Boykin became a teacher she was just a student at the University. She first decided to get involved with the community when she met a friend in her speech class. Her new friend introduced her to the organization Big Brothers Big sisters. At first Boykin wasn’t sure about the organization but once she met her new friend’s “little” she was sold that the organization was perfect for her. Boykin was paired with a little girl named Keyasia Singleton.   She was in first grade when they met but now she is ten years old and in the third grade. Soon after Boykin was paired with her “little,” she visited Singleton at school frequently. Boykin was there so often that she was offered a

MCJ 300

What have I learned?

I absolutely loved MCJ 102. It showed me all the things I thought I knew about journalism but I soon realized that I didn't know that much. The different ways writing for the media is something I didn't expect or think about. Either way learning about each individual part of media was so interesting. I knew they were all different but I never knew the extinct of their differences. I enjoyed learning what a broadcasting script was and  how to create. One day I aspire to be a TV anchor, therefore, seeing what I could one day be reading was very benefitting. I never new in scrips the sound of a word was over the spelling of one. People literally spell out words from the exact way it sounds. I also thought it was interesting how close the radio scripts were to TV.  I also enjoyed the print lecture. I learned the basic AP style for journalism rules.  I learned overall from taking this class that I want to keep going into this major. Last summer I was having small doubts on sti

Giving Plasma

College students are known to need money and most of the time they desire quick money. College students usually don't have time to pick up a full time job so getting quick and easy cash is almost a dream. Plasma clinics know this fact.  They also know people outside of college students that are looking for easy cash. These people are the poorer people in rural areas. This where the plasma set their location. They want to be around as many college or poorer people as they can. Plasma donor can make up to 75 dollars a donation.  Donating plasma sometimes is safe; however, over a period of time it can wear out the body.  They can have collapsed veins or it might take longer duration to find veins for donation, especially in people who regularly donate.  The donation center does not allow a patient to leave unless they are physically fit, and these conditions might make them stay back longer. The rates here start at $50 but $55 for students. The first few times you go but $25is

Unborn babies

An unborn baby should have just as many rights as a live one in my opinion. No baby should have suffer because of someone else. The question of legalizing abortion is stallion the media today even after all these years of constant debate of when a child is considered a child. The democratic candidates today are pro-choice. Hilary Clinton believes unborn babies don't have constitutional rights.  Bernie Sanders echoes this exact opinion. I believe unborn babies do because in the constitution it states all persons have the right to the constitution and unborn babies are persons in my opinion. When the constitution was written they probably didn't imagine anyone would actually question the rights of a baby. I can imagine during this time of the constitution something like abortion was not acceptable. Abortion is defiantly more likely to be illegal but the social aspect of it will forever be unacceptable. Socially abortion is known to be one of the top 5 uncomfortable conversati
